Paul Pogba has got injured during his best spell at Man Utd for a long time. It is another setback for manager Solskjaer. It comes at the most inopportune moment because United have some key games ahead.
During the first half of the 3-3 draw with Everton, Pogba pulled a muscle in his thigh and he went to ground to ask for a change. The player and the coaching staff had worried looks on their faces. Fred had to come on for him.
After the game, Solskjaer explained that the midfielder would have an MRI scan either this Sunday or Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
If Pogba has torn a muscle then he will find it very difficult to be fit for the first leg of the Europa League last 32 tie against Real Sociedad on 18th February, in 11 days time.
"Yes, it was a thigh muscle. It seems like a muscle injury, so we will have to have a look at it, send him for a scan and treat it. I hope he recovers quickly," Solskjaer said in a press conference. United are next in action on Tuesday against West Ham in the 5th round of the FA Cup.
