Silva to miss Barca and Real Madrid clashes

Bad news for Real Sociedad and Imanol Alguacil. David Silva got injured on Tuesday morning and he will be unavailable for the Copa del Rey clash against Barcelona and the La Liga match away to Real Madrid. 

In the training session ahead of the trip to the Camp Nou, the former Man City player noted issues in the soleus muscle. His absence could be very bad for the Basques, who will also be without Mikel Merino in midfield. 

That said, the Basque coach will be able to count on Martin Zubimendi, who missed the Rayo Vallecano game through suspension. The player sought after by Barcelona will start on Wednesday as will Aihen Munoz in defence and Take Kubo and Robert Navarro in attack. 

David Silva's absence is a blow for Sociedad as he was getting back to his best level. He showed that in Vallecas with a great assist for Sorloth. Sociedad now face two big games without him.
