When Real Madrid were looking to score a goal against Betis in the matchday 32 La Liga clash, a header by Militao hit Miranda's arm in the Betis penalty area. This was just minutes after Hazard had come onto the pitch. There was uproar on social media as some Real Madrid fans felt it was a penalty.
The referee and VAR did not think the same. The former did not give it initially and then the latter, decided it was not a spot kick. Xavier Estrada Fernandez and Jose Luis Gonzalez Gonzalez were the men who had to make the decision.
Even though the Betis player's arm was out, it was resting on another player and was completely accidental. It could have easily been given though.
There were several people who felt that it should have been a penalty as it stopped a header going towards goal, but it was not given.
