Sheffield boss confirms Chelsea and Liverpool interest in Berge

Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge is one of two Premier League sides' main targets. According to 'TalkSport', Chelsea and Liverpool are following the footballer very closely.

Even though neither of the clubs have made the English second division side a formal offer, Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom confirmed there was interest there in the press room.

"I think there's been interest. There always is. You start to hear it before the windows and things like that, but there haven't been any offers. All that I can do is insist on carrying on. In the situation we're in, I don't want anybody to leave", he said.

"The panorama has changed what we have and where we are. It's even more important that nobody goes. My opinion on the matter is not going to change", he added.

This Sunday, the 'Blades' go up against Wrexham in the fourth round of the FA Cup. And it is very possible that midfielder Berge will start the game against a side below them in the football pyramid.
