Mourinho makes eight changes to starting XI

The Portuguese's named a much changed side, with eight new faces coming in after an embarrassing defeat to Brighton at the weekend.

Luke Shaw, after a falling-out with the United boss, was given a chance to prove his worth at the London Stadium as he came in for Ashley Young at left-back.

Another shock decision was the exclusion of Anthony Martial who was thought to be a certain straight-swap for the injured Romelu Lukaku. Mourinho's choice to leave the Frenchman out will no doubt further fuel speculation about the striker's future at Old Trafford.
