Luke Shaw took to his social media to deny claims that he thinks Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial should not be in Manchester United's starting XI.

Luke Shaw was trending topic on Thursday when a screenshot went viral showing that the player had liked a tweet from @centredevils with quotes from former Manchester United player Patrice Evra.

"Patrice Evra: 'I think it will be tough for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to come back into the starting eleven," was quoted in the tweet. The screenshot quickly went viral among Red Devils fans as they understood that the England full-back believes both strikers should not be in the starting XI.

However, the Three Lions international used his official X profile - formerly Twitter - to make it clear that he did not intentionally like the tweet and therefore did not share the same thoughts as Patrice Evra.

"Come on don't be silly, obviously not intentional," the 28-year-old left winger wrote, adding a face-palm emoji.
