Sevilla sign Óliver Torres

Sevilla have reached an agreement with FC Porto for the signing of Spanish midfielder Óliver Torres, who will join the club for the next five seasons. The player passed his medical on Monday morning before signing his contract, a club statement said.

Torres will now reunite with Julen Lopetegui, who he has already played under before at Porto. Over in Portugal, the Atlético Madrid youth product scored 11 goals and gave 15 assists in 145 appearances.

As well as add-ons, Sevilla will play 12 million Euros for the 24 year-old. His new club have defined him as a "versatile attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing".

Torres arrives having matured significantly after bursting on to the scene as he won the U19 Euros with Spain as a 17 year-old, making his Atleti debut at the same age.

He did manage to win the Copa del Rey in 2012-13 and La Liga in 2013-14 with Atlético, although he spent the second half of this campaign on loan at Villarreal.
