Sevilla stand in Manchester City's way for another European trophy. The Cityzens will be looking to win their first UEFA Super Cup in their history after winning the treble last season, including the long-awaited Champions League.
However, the Sky Blues have one minor drawback ahead of Wednesday's final. The English side will face the Spanish club without three key players: De Bruyne, who is out for up to four months with a hamstring injury, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva.
Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar appeared at the press conference ahead of the big showdown. When asked about the Mancunian side's absentees, the Spaniard responded by referring to the huge difference in budget between the two sides: "It's funny to talk about City's losses. They have spent 500 million on goalkeepers and defenders alone.
"You add up what they've paid for each of them and it's more than 500 million. I don't think they are complaining about absentees right now. They might complain that there is a fixture congestion, which is true, but it seems like we can't complain because then everybody says 'that's why you charge so much," concluded the Spanish coach.
