Both teams came into the match looking to maintain their 100% record in this group B. Pépé almost made it 1-0 five minutes in but his dinked effort was cleared by the Molde defender as it looked to be sneaking in.
Molde then shocked the Gunners when they took the lead in the 20th minute. Ellingsen had a shot from about 25 yards that Leno should have parried, but the ball went past him and into the bottom corner.
Arsenal needed a reaction but couldn't muster any shots on target. Just as Molde looked to be going in at the break ahead, Haugen bundled into his own net from Pépé's cross.
Kolasinac missed a sitter after the break when he blazed over from yards out when faced with an empty net. He wasn't made to rue his miss as Shinyan scored into his own net in the 62nd minute to put Arsenal ahead.
The Gunners then ran away with the match when Pépé fired a central shot past Linde in the Molde goal. They made it 4-1 moments before the full-time whistle when Willock fired into the roof of the net.
The Norwegians host the Gunners at the end of the month on matchday 4.
