This Tuesday, Manchester City announced the renewal of goalkeeper Scott Carson's contract. He is the only member of the City squad who has won the Champions League.
The 36 year old won Europe's most prestigious club competition in 2005 with Liverpool. At City, to whom he joined in 2019 from Derby County, he has played in just two matches in all competitions. He is the third keeper to Ederson Moraes and Zack Steffen.
In his 19 seasons as a professional footballer, Carson has also played for Wigan Athletic, Charlton Athletic, Leeds United, Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday and Bursaspor. He has played a total of 560 matches across his career.
