"Scoring goals is my super power; I would have loved to score six goals"

Manchester City's Erling Haaland said his super power is "scoring goals" and that he would have loved to score a six goals after ripping RB Leipzig to shreds advance to the Champions League quarter-finals.

"I love this competition. Five goals to win 7-0 is unbelievable," Haaland told 'BT Sport'. "If I'm honest, I don't even remember the goals," he said when asked about his favourite of the five goals he scored against RB Leipzig. "Scoring goals is my super power. A lot of goals I don't even think about, I just do it. On the penalty I just thought about scoring, and so with every goal. I just have to be quick thinking.

Haaland, despite having scored five goals and still having half an hour to score more and become the first player in history to score six goals in a single Champions League match, was substituted by Pep Guardiola.

"When he replaced me, I told him that I would have loved to score six goals," said Haaland, who also spoke of the high pressing as one of the keys to the 7-0 win over Germany. "We work a lot on pressing. Especially at home we have to put them under pressure, because we are very good at winning back the ball up front. That was part of the plan," he concluded.
