Wolverhampton Wanderers player Pablo Sarabia joked about how he feels at 31 in a Spanish national team dressing room with 17 and 16-year-olds such as Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal and said he is "in the best moment" of his career after saying he does not feel "old".
"I am very happy that such young players make it to the national team. I don't feel old because I'm 31, I'm at a very good stage of my life, in the best moment of my career. There is a big age difference but we try to bring the experience that is so necessary in any team," he told reporters.
Sarabia has not played for the Spanish national team since 6th December 2022 and his last memory is not a positive one, as it was the elimination against Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.
"Hope is never lost. I work to improve every day, to do my bit for the team. One works day by day, I have gone through many difficult moments in my career and this is always a prize, a joy that is impossible not to put a smile on your face and be very happy," he concluded.
