Santos confirmed Baptistao's farewell: Almeria are waiting for him

Leo Baptistao, will return to Spain. In the absence of official confirmation, the Brazilian striker will join Almeria's new project. The Andalusian team were promoted last season and will return to La Liga after seven seasons in Segunda.

Santos, his current club since the 2020-21 season, has already bid him farewell. He has played a total of 38 games and scored seven goals for the 'Peixe'.

Baptistao has considerable experience in Spain, where he has played for Rayo Vallecano, Atletico Madrid, Betis, Villarreal and Espanyol.

No official figures have been released, but according to several Spanish media, the deal could be worth one and a half million euros. The official announcement could be made in the next few hours.​
