Santos Borre will not leave in January

Rafael Santos Borre leaving in January are over. Despite the fact there was speculation on the Colombian joining a Serie A or La Liga club, his sporting director ruled out this option. 

Markus Krosche told 'Bild': "We haven't thought about loaning him out in January. These comments have reportedly not gone down well with the footballer, who was very upser with the situation at the German club. 

The main reason for the speculation was because the striker has started just four out of nine Bundesliga games. Added to that, he has scored just one goal. 

With the World Cup coming up, Santos Borre will have the opportunity to show he deserves to make the starting XI for the Europa League champions. However, Kolo Muani and Ansgar Knauff's form mean that is not an easy task.
