The first goal at the 'new' Santiago Bernabeu was not scored by Real Madrid. It took just four minutes for a goal in the redeveloped stadium and Santi Mina scored it.
The Celta Vigo striker took advantage of the mistake at the back by Real Madrid. Miguel Gutierrez, on Madrid's left, gave a short pass which the Galicians intercepted.
The ball was going to land at the feet of Santi Mina, but Casemiro put his leg there. However, the ball rebounded off the legs of Nacho and Celta recovered.
Aspas picked up the ball and he passed to Santi Mina who was less than a yard away and his shot went under Militao's legs and he made it 0-1.
Santi Mina likes scoring in new stadia. The Galician forward scored in the first game at the new San Mames stadium in 2013, but his team ended up losing that one to Athletic Bilbao and now he has scored the first goal at the 'new' Bernabeu.
Karim Benzema levelled the scoring in the 24th minute, but former Benfica player Franco Cervi put Celta back ahead just after the half-hour.
