Salah sets sights on 'special' Premier League triumph in final Liverpool season

Mohamed Salah has expressed his determination to end his Liverpool career on a high by winning the Premier League this season. The Egyptian forward, who has been instrumental in Liverpool's success in recent years, spoke candidly about his ambitions in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports.

"I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool. It's my last year in the club so you want to do something special for the city," Salah stated, hinting at a possible departure from Anfield at the end of the season.

Salah's motivation stems partly from the muted celebrations following Liverpool's previous Premier League victory during the pandemic. "We waited for that title for 30 years or so. So, to win it and it was the pandemic at that time, we didn't really have time to celebrate it in the right way," he explained.

The 32-year-old's focus on the Premier League title marks a shift from his previous emphasis on Champions League success. Salah's commitment to leaving a lasting legacy at Liverpool is evident in his words and his current form, as he leads the Premier League in both goals and assists this season.

With Liverpool currently six points clear at the top of the table, Salah's ambition to secure a "special" Premier League victory could be the driving force behind the team's title challenge.
