Salah has had an incredible debut season with Liverpool, winning the PFA Player of the Year award as well as scoring 43 goals in all competitions so far.
However, his Premier League season could end on a sour note after an incident between the forward and Stoke City defender Bruno Martins Indi was caught on camera.
Salah was in possession of the ball on the right wing, trying to find a pass to a team-mate when it seems as it Martins Indi pulls back the Liverpool's player's shirt.
The two continue to fight for the ball and after Salah releases possession to another, he appears to swing a balled hand in the direction of the Dutch defender.
Referee Andre Marriner didn't spot the incident during the 0-0 draw but reports in England now claim that the incident will be referred to the FA's independent disciplinary panel, who will decide if further action is warranted.
If the panel of three former match officials agree unanimously against Salah, he could potentially serve a three-match suspension which would rule him out for Liverpool's remaining games and give Tottenham's Harry Kane the opportunity to snatch the Golden Boot from his grasps.
