Rudiger joins Benzema on list of doubts for Rayo clash

Bad news for Carlo Ancelotti. The Madrid coach may not be able to count on Antonio Rudiger for the clash against Rayo Vallecano. The player did not train with the group and he is doubtful for the match.

The centre-back worked out in the gym in order to recover from his injuries, so whether he plays against Rayo will depend on whether he trains on Sunday

Karim Benzema's presence has not been confirmed for the game either, although he has a better possibility of playing. According to 'EFE', Rudiger did not train with the group before the next La Liga clash.

The French striker, who played against Celtic, had suffered a muscular fatigue that kept him out for three games. With 15 days to go before the start of the World Cup in Qatar, Benzema has not found the consistency that last season led him to win the award that accredited him as the best footballer in the world.

Otherwise, Eden Hazard trained on the pitch. He could return to the squad against Rayo after suffering a muscle injury in training on Monday. If there are no other setbacks, he could be called up by his coach Roberto Martinez for the World Cup.

In Saturday's training session, Ancelotti brought back 17-year-old striker Iker Bravo, who scored a goal after just nine seconds in the UEFA Youth League match against Celtic on Wednesday.
