England entered this competition with the belief they would be one of the contenders for the tournament, however, this has very much not been the case.
Following the red card of Hamza Choudury, England capitulated at the death against France and ended up losing 2-1 after two late goals, after Phil Foden's superb goal earlier on.
This still left England in a decent position, however, they needed to beat Romania.
In what was not the most compelling viewing for 75 minutes, with England dominating possession (72%) but failing to add a goal, it seemed England may be embarrassed, but what was to come in the last 15 minutes was incredible.
Romania first scored from the penalty spot, in what was England's third conceded penalty in just 2 matches, with Puuscas converting to give the Romanians a shock 1-0 lead on 75 minutes.
It didn't take long however for England to respond, with Demarai Gray finding the back of the net after just 5 minutes.
Tomori then made a defensive error and Romania were ruthless, with Ianis Hagi punishing the defender for a poor mistake.
The final 5 minutes of the game were just as hectic, with Tammy Abraham scoring almost straight off the kick off to give England hope, only for Dean Henderson to make a costly error in goal and gift Florinel Coman a goal and the Romania lead.
Tammy Abraham then nearly added another, with the now Chelsea forward hitting the wood work, and having an effort well blocked, before Coman scored again, but this time there was nothing Henderson could do, this was a classy goal into the top left hand corner on the volley. Romania remain in the competition, England however have been embarrassed and are heading home before they ever really began...
