Roma are looking for an ideal replacement for Chris Smalling due to the difficulty of signing him permanently. The Italians have apparently already got someone else in mind.
According to 'Il Messaggero', if Smalling ends up leaving Roma at the end of the season, they would go for the Hoffenheim central defender Kevin Akpoguma.
At 25, the experienced defender has gone from the B team to the first XI and has made 49 appearances for them.
His contract at Hoffenheim ends in 2024, but the German defender could be in favour of a move to Italian football.
