Rodrygo suggests he would leave Madrid and rectifies: "He made a mistake"

Just a couple of sentences have served to spice up the days leading up to the Champions League final. Rodrygo Goes, under contract until 2028, is one of the spearheads of Ancelotti's attack, but, in an interview with ‘DAZN’, he has revealed that he would be happy to leave the team. It is a scenario that is within his reach, as he is attracting a lot of interest in the transfer market.

The aforementioned source has published a teaser in which the player states: "Yes, well, anything can happen. I have a contract here, but the years I've been here have been a pleasure for me". To what sounds like a farewell, the journalist asked him not to upset the fans, to which he replied: "No, no, don't worry. I always want to be at this club, but let's see...".

It's possible that it's all part of DAZN's marketing to get the buzz going. His starting price is 112.2 million euros and, in the past, the ‘Merengue’ presidency has not taken this kind of talk particularly well.

Florentino Perez already asked Cristiano Ronaldo for explanations in November 2015. Ahead of a Champions League match against PSG, the German newspaper ‘Kicker’ published an interview with the Portuguese, in which he said: "Leave Madrid? Why not?" With the cameras in front of him, Perez whispered something in his ear that could not be heard, but the Portuguese was heard saying, as he was leaving: "What did I say? I didn't say that. What I said is different...".

Rodrygo retracts through his entourage

After Rodrygo's statements on ‘DAZN’ spread like wildfire on social networks, ‘Carrusel Deportivo’ indicated that his entourage has conveyed that ‘he made a mistake’ with the verb tenses in the sentence he verbalised.
