The winger, currently on loan from Manchester City, made his comeback from injury against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership. After the match ended in a 0-0 draw, Roberts had nearly two weeks to wait for Celtic's next fixture.
The 21-year-old was injured last November and missed out on a large section of the club's demanding schedule. Roberts insists that the time out will serve as an advantage in that he will be more refreshed.
Speaking to Celtic's website, he said: ''Some of the lads coming back might need [to be] rested and that gives me a chance to start and get some more game time in. You can be more refreshed.''
He added: ''Myself and some of the other boys are coming back from injuries now while others have played a huge number of games, so it's good timing for the team. I'll be fresh and with the game that's just played, I feel like I can jump straight back into the action for our next game."
