"Neymar started training with us, but he didn't finish it. He ended up working on his own so he will not be with us," Thomas Tuchel said prior to the match last weekend against Rennes.
Nevertheless, the German coach took advantage to warn Neymar's suitors: "For me, nothing has changed with Neymar. He is my player. When I think about a strong team, I think about a team with Neymar in it. In these moments, we do not have solutions to take him out of the club. Nothing has changed. If there's no solution, he will stay with us."
A week later, 'Sport' published that Thomas Tuchel was willing to select Neymar for the Toulouse game on Sunday. After recovering and training with his teammates, the PSG coach had apparently considered selecting him as a way of forcing negotiations.
However, 'RMC' have denied this information from the Catalan paper. They report that the German coach will not select Neymar for this Sunday, but that is more likely, if he is still there, that he will play against Metz on 30th August. Apart from the injury to his right foot, PSG want to prevent Neymar getting a hostile reception at the Parc des Princes after he was insulted in the first home game.
