Norwegian football has been getting a lot of headlines as of late, we do not even need to mention Haaland’s name, as you are probably well aware of his talent. However generally there is a lot of upcoming talent in Norway's top football league Eliteserien, which has only made us imagine where the next stages of their career will get to. For that reason, we have decided to make note of the players that we think will be going places very, very soon!
Yes, we have mentioned this name already, but it would really be a crime not to. This player has managed to create waves of success for himself already with his position and signing at Dortmund. Yet, with a track record that he has, one can only imagine the superstar that he is going to be-and he is only 19!
Starting his career back in 2019, with Byrne, the youngster had signed for Salzburg, to which he managed to score 16 goals for the team in only 17 matches. He was only the second teenager ever to be able to score in three consecutive games against Liverpool, Genk and Napoli Just for his scoring ability, it made him attract many of the top teams across Europe, one of which being Manchester United. Yet alas, Dortmund was his team of choice moving forward. Within 8 matches at Dortmund, he managed to score 4 goals. As of right now, his place is firm within Germany, yet many are speculating a future within English Premier League football.
Another young prodigy, this payer is considered to be a star of the future. At 5 feet 10, he is most comfortable in a midfielder or winger position. Playing at Real Madrid, at such a young age, he really does have plenty of potential to give. Despite being told that he doesn't play to his fullest, he has been on several loans since his signing with Real Madrid, over fears that he hasn't fit with the team's momentum just quite yet. There was speculation that Manchester City were after Martin, with Pep Guardiola stating that he would like to make this player one of the best in the world, especially after having been brought back from his loan from Sociedad to Madrid and not really getting a great deal of game time.
Odegaard is not only a powerful player, he is a player who is great at making calculated decisions at the right time. For that reason, he is still proving everyone wrong, that had made presumptions about him during his time of finding himself. Since his joining of the national team, he also became the youngest player ever to participate within a qualifier for the European Championship.
The 21-year-old player had made history for Sheffield united, after they signed him for a whopping £22 million, making it a personal record for the player within Sheffield's signings. Standing at 6 feet 5, Berge has as one of his skills, some very impressive knowledge of game tactics alongside a vision that allows him to envision where and how he needs to play. Prior to his participation within the English team, Berge was playing for the Norwegian team Asker. After that he moved along to the Belgium team Genk.
The debut made for the English team Sheffield has been said to be a pit stop to him joining the favourites Manchester United. Yet, for now he will continuously make fighting goals for his team Sheffield and prove further reason and interest for him, in the next signing period for footballers. Watch this space.
The last player to be mentioned within our list, Sorloth is a 25-year-old striker who has been noticed for his incredible scoring abilities when he plays. Sorloth has experienced playing at a few different clubs, in different leagues, which can only be a good thing for a young player. Currently he plays at RB Leipzig who are performing extremely well in the Bundesliga.
Unlike many players, Sorloth is able to provide speed and flexibility to his position within the field. This has therefore proved very useful when wanting to seize the ball from the opposing teams that he plays against. He certainly managed to gain a large interest from his short time with Trabzonspor, which is no surprise as his stats for that season were incredible, in the cup he scored 7 in 7 games and in the league he played 34 games, scored 24 and assisted 8.
