Richarlison receives straight red card

The Brazilian was hoping to become only the second player to score in each of his first three Premier League appearances for Everton - after Romelu Lukaku - however the club's record signing was forced to take an early bath after an altercation with Adam Smith. Initially the red card looked soft, however in this day and age you can not flick your head towards your opponent. Perhaps it was due to a lack of experience, perhaps it was a sudden rush of blood to the head, however there was really no need for the dismissal.

Referee Lee Probert had no option to send Richarlison off after the "altercation" between to two.

This comes as bad news for the 743,122 managers who transferred Richarlison into their fantasy football team this weekend.
