Ricardo Pereira, Barca's plan B if Nelson Semedo leaves

FC Barcelona's comings and goings in regards to Portuguese left back Nelson Semedo could end in the summer. The Catalan club are looking to finalise a deal that could be beneficial for all parties, something that points to a possible exit in the summer window.

Atletico already tried last summer and this Thursday, 'Sport' revealed an important meeting took place between Eric Abidal, sporting director and Jorge Mendes, the player's representative, to decide his future.

But the operation has a lot more substance, as if Semedo finally decides to pack his bags, Barca already have another option, that Jorge Mendes himself has put on the table. And it is all about Ricardo Pereira, who Mendes also represents.

Pereira is standing out with Leicester , but in Barcelona they are wary of paying the 40 million at which the Portuguese is valued. The team's plan, presided by Josep María Bartomeu, would be to sell Semedo for about 50 million and seek a reduction in the price of Pereira or open other channels.
