RFEF president asks for respect for the precautionary measure granted to Barcelona

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzan, has assured that he will work "hand in hand with La Liga" after the Superior Sports Council (CSD) upheld the urgent precautionary measure requested by Barcelona players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor on Wednesday.

"We are going to work hand in hand with La Liga, we will analyse the context when we have it in our possession and from there we will give the appropriate explanations in this regard," said Louzan in statements to 'Movistar+' during half-time of the Spanish Super Cup semi-final between Athletic Club and Barca.

While La Liga, through an official statement, informed minutes earlier that it will study the CSD's resolution in order to present the appeals it deems appropriate, the RFEF president did not want to advance events due to a lack of information. 

"It is important news that affects the players and a great club like Barcelona. We have to respect the CSD's decision. We can't go in to evaluate, because we arrived at the stadium and we knew here the decision to grant the precautionary measure by the CSD," he said. 

Louzan added that the RFEF will make an assessment when it can "know in depth" the CSD's resolution, but he stressed that the federation over which he presides has "scrupulously complied with what has been established".
