Reus denies Guardiola clean sheet record in the Champions League

Man City still had 207 minutes to equal the clean sheet record set by Arsenal in the 2005-06 season before Reus scored on Tuesday.

Guardiola's men, who hadn't conceded a goal since the first game of the group stages, totalled 788 minutes without conceding, far from the 995 that the Gunners accumulated in the 2005-06 campaign, when they reached the final in Paris and eventually lost to Barcelona.

Luis Diaz of Porto was the last to score against Man City until Tuesday, when Marco Reus was able to slot past Ederson in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals, putting an end to a record of seven games without conceding. Arsenal managed to keep a clean sheet in ten consecutive games. 

Despite this, City were able to get a good result against the Germans. Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden give the English side the advantage, who will visit the Signal Iduna Park next week with a 2-1 lead to defend.
