Reinier Jesús Castillo could become a Real Madrid player on Monday. According to 'Marca' and 'Mundo Deportivo', the Spanish club's intention is to make his signing official in the next few hours.
The agreement with Flamengo for the midfielder has been done for weeks, but as he wasn't 18 he couldn't sign, as FIFA demands. And given that Reinier turned 18 on Sunday, Los Blancos are free to announce his signature.
Real Madrid will pay 30 million euros for the Brazilian, who is currently playing in the pre-Olympic tournament in Colombia. To see Reinier in the Spanish capital we will have to wait until the start of February, once he has finished the tournament with Brazil.
And when he arrives at Real Madrid, their intention is to move him to Castilla (the B team), although he will train with the first team, so that he starts his adaptation to Spanish football. However, 'Sport' assures that Espanyol are now negotiating a loan deal for him.
This morning, Reinier got game time in Brazil's match against Peru, so one can expect the deal to be announced. The majority of things have already been taken care of, as the player passed by Madrid before leaving to play with Brazil in order to complete the deal and pass the medical.
The Brazilian will thus become a Real Madrid player and will sign a long term contract: until 30th June 2026.
