Reinier called up by Zidane

Reinier will be together with the Real Madrid first team in training at Zinedine Zidane's request.

The fact the RFEF have cancelled the rest of the Segunda B season, where Real Madrid Castilla play, has led to Zidane's decision.

Reinier was at the sports complex's facilities on Tuesday to get tested again for COVID-19, 'AS' reports. That is the final thing he has to do before he can join the group.

Zidane's plan is for the Brazilian to gradually begin training with Real Madrid's senior players. It is worth remembering that he has not done any group training for weeks and so he is not as fit as the rest of the players.

However, Reinier will not be able to play any of the remaining league fixtures. The three non-EU spots in the squad have been taken up by Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius.

The training sessions could be an opportunity for him to impress Zidane ahead of next season or help the club decide on where to send him on loan to in the summer.
