Reina was a mere spectator: amazing free-kick by Ramos!

There is a reason why he is the highest scoring defender in La Liga history. Sergio Ramos appeared again in the match against Mallorca with a beautiful free-kick. 

Before the hour mark at the Di Stefano Stadium, the referee gave a free-kick to Real Madrid outside the box and the captain decided that he was going to take the free-kick. Ramos set his sights on Reina's goal. 

Ramos hit a powerful shot which went into the top right hand corner of the Mallorca goalie's net. Reina could only stand there and watch.

The goal was the 120th of his career and his third from a free-kick. The captain is Real Madrid's second highest goalscorer this season behind Benzema. Real Madrid were full of praise for Ramos on social media after his goal. 

"Ramos, showing how to take a free-kick," they wrote.
