The England winger headed home at the back post after a fantastic cross from Cedric found him in space, and Mark Hughes looked delighted. 

It was a goal that will have been watched up and down the country, as its reprecussions could be huge.

Not only that, but it would lift the 'Saints' above Swansea and dump the Welshmen into the bottom three with time running out.
