Locadia arrived on the south coast from PSV Eindhoven in the winter transfer window but was unfortunately carrying a hamstring injury.
Hughton insists the player is now back to fitness and will be in the squad travelling to Stoke for Saturday's fixture.
"The most important thing for us is that he is now fit and available. And of course he will have the opportunity to help the team and to help us try and get the results that we need to get and we look forward to that," Hughton said.
'"He's an offensive player that so far this season at his previous club has a good record of scoring goals," he then added, recognising the 45 goals Locadia scored in 127 league games for the Dutch side.
Luckily for the Seagulls, squad depth has meant they haven't had to rush Locadia's recovery. Local hero Leonardo Ulloa recently returned to the club and striker Glenn Murray has certainly had his shooting boots on lately, scoring in each of Brighton's last three fixtures.
