Reality check for Arsenal: Locatelli only wants to go to Juventus

Italy's leading man in the recent Euros, Manuel Locatelli is one of the most wanted players on the market and Sassuolo are finding it very difficult to keep hold of one of their star players.

Among the many suitors for the Italian player, Arsenal have become very strong in the last few days, as they are willing to put all their eggs in one basket for him.

According to the 'Daily Mirror', the Emirates Stadium side had in mind to put on the table the 40 million euros demanded by Sassuolo for his transfer, but they have found an insurmountable obstacle: Locatelli's refusal.

The aforementioned media outlet reports that, despite the Gunners' interest, Locatelli's desire is to remain in the Italian League and join Juventus in particular.

Juventus are the player's preferred option, although it clashes with Sassuolo's wishes regarding the payment method, with the Turin side proposing a loan with an option to buy that would have structured payments.

Since his arrival at the club in 2018, Locatelli has been a key player for Sassuolo, making a total of 99 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists.
