Madrid thrashed Celta 1-4 and they have now taken six points out of a possible six so far. The 'Merengues' managed to win a match in which Celta played a very good first half but Aspas' goal was not enough to prevent the Madrid side from thrashing them. Celta have taken just one point from their last two games and the Galicians will be looking for their first three points next week.

Real Madrid get their second win in a row after thrashing Celta 1-4. The 'Merengues' played their first game after the sale of Casemiro to United and Ancelotti decided to field Camavinga and Tchouameni in the midfield of the starting eleven.

During the first half Real Madrid struggled to keep possession of the ball due to Celta's high pressing. The 'Merengues' took the lead thanks to a penalty for handball by Tapia in the 13th minute. Karim Benzema did not miss it and scored his first goal of La Liga 22/23.

Just ten minutes later a similar play took place but this time in the opposite box to the previous one. The Galician striker Paciencia headed a ball that touched Militao's hand and Gil Manzano awarded a penalty. Aspas, like the French striker, scored the equaliser from the penalty spot.

It looked like the game was going to go to the break with the score tied. However, Modric managed to give Madrid the lead just five minutes before the end of the first half. The Croatian dribbled past Tapia on the edge of the box and with a powerful shot, he scored a banger to beat Marchesin.

Ten minutes into the second half, Real Madrid extended their lead on the scoreboard thanks to a great counter-attack. Modric found Vinicius with a long pass and the Brazilian, after a long run and dribbling past Marchesin, pushed the ball into the net.

A few minutes later Valverde scored the fourth for the 'Merengues'. Tchouameni recovered the ball and found Vinicius with a long pass, the Brazilian on the left flank made a pass to the right wing where the Uruguayan beat Marchesin with a shot across the goal.

In the 86th minute, after a good Real Madrid counter-attack, Hugo Mallo fouled Benzema in the box. The Frenchman decided to let Hazard take the penalty but Marchesin prevented the Belgian from scoring.
