RB Leipzig's interest in Kouassi sped up his move to Bayern

Tanguy Kouassi switched from PSG to Bayern. And he did it at zero cost. It was a real bargain for the German club.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was at Sport 1 and spoke about the recent transfer from Bayern. His words will surprise more than a few people.

"As soon as we heard that RB Lepizig were on his tail and their intention to recruit him was becoming clear, we set off," admitted the Bayern CEO.

This interest from the other Bundesliga team was decisive in Bayern's decision to take the step. "He was sought after by many European clubs, especially RB Leipzig, he's a very interesting player," he continued.

"We're happy that he chose Bayern. He was convinced by our project. Here we see him as a player of the future. We've never recruited such a young French player, but we're convinced that Bayern is the ideal place for his progress.
