Ramos' future is still up in the air. His contract expires in June and, according to the latest information, the two sides are not seeing eye to eye with the player's demands for his renewal.
Berbatov advised Manchester United to enter the bidding for him if they have the chance. "Sergio Ramos would bring steel to the team. He would bring experience to the red devils. He could get out even if he is 34 years old," said the ambassador of 'Betfair'.
"Some people may think that Ramos is older, but I think he is one of the best central defenders in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of teams interested in signing him," he continued.
And he gave his opinion as to why his renewal with Madrid could be in vain: "It's always the money... I imagine that, with the age that he has, in the club they will have doubts over offering him a long contract. I would think about it very much...".
On another subject, he spoke about the EFL Cup semis when City embraced the United players. This gesture of the 'red devils' surprised him. "As Roy Kean said, I was also amazed: what the f**k they were doing," he concluded.
