Ramos joins Madrid's 'Decima'

'Los Blancos' saw off Malaga at 'La Roselada' to secure a 2-1 league victory and with it Ramos made his 387th appearance in La Liga as he lined up in Zinedine Zidane's starting XI.

It meant that the Madrid captain equalled Jose Maria Gutierrez Hernandez, "Guti's", tally to make up the club's top 10 players according to games played in the league and the centre-back now has some other illustious names in his sight as he approaches the end of his thirteenth season in the Spanish capital.

Michel is in ninth with 404 league appearances to his name, whilst Jose Camacho (414), Pirri (417), Francisco Gento (428), Fernando Hierro (439), Carlos Santillana (461), Iker Casillas (510), Manuel Sanchis (523) and Raul (550) make up the top ten.

Ramos will have a chance to cement his place in the standings when Madrid take on Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday.
