Despite the fact that him becoming the new Germany coach was taken for granted, Hansi Flick's future could change dramatically in just a few weeks. 'RAC1' said he is Joan Laporta's main option to coach Barcelona next season.
The news outlet says that Flick's agreement with Germany, not yet official, is just a verbal one. That means he could still join Barca next season.
Flick took over at Bayern after Niko Kovac was sacked at the end of 2019. He led the German club to all six titles up for grabs in the 2019-20 season. That was something that only Barcelona had achieved.
That was not all and, despite their painful Champions League elimination at the hands of PSG and the shock German Cup exit against a second tier side, Bayern won the Bundesliga.
In that time, the coach, whose team thrashed Barca 8-2 in Lisbon, has won over people with his attacking brand of football. Even though they have let in goals at the back, they have been characterised for their high line.
It remains to be seen whether Joan Laporta manages to persuade Flick to go to Barca instead of the Germany national team.
