PSG are closing in on Keita

Naby Keita has been linked with PSG. It may seem like the typical market information that does not involve any news, but it is true. Two leaks have come to light that place him close to the Parc des Princes and, between them, a third that denied the first, so it is worth analyzing what has been the report.

First, 'Foot Mercato' reported that the midfielder was of interest to Paris Saint-Germain, willing to put 50 million euros on the table for him. Shortly after, 'Liverpool Echo' denied it, quoting sources from the Anfield club. They claimed that the news had been completely manipulated and was false.

But, now, a journalist specialized in the transfer window, Ekren Konur, notifies through his Twitter profile that PSG want him and are ready to pay 30 million, a figure 20 million euros lower than the first one that had been known. Konur also adds that the Reds want to renew the player until 2026.

The latter is logical considering that Keita's contract expires in the summer of 2023. This means that the transfer window that is about to start will be the last chance for the English to sell him before taking the risk that, from January onwards, he can negotiate with other teams to leave on a free transfer.
