Barcelona are looking for the latest young talent in the transfer window. Barca are monitoring South American football in search for opportunities, as they did with Endrick, who finally joined Real Madrid.
Now, 'Mundo Deportivo' says that the Catalans are reportedly close to completing the signing of youngster Gianluca Prestianni, who is just 16, from Velez Sarsfield. That said, there is stiff competition as Real Madrid are also reportedly after him.
However, the cited source said that the player has reportedly decided on the Catalans and that the La Liga outfit could pay his million euro buyout fee. His agent is former Real Madrid player Ronald Zarate.
At the moment, Prestianni has played in six games for the Velez first team. Five of those are in La Liga, where he gave an assist, and another came in the Copa Libertadores. He made his debut in that competition when he came on against Estudiantes for 15 minutes.
