Premier League loan move has hit Carlos Soler like a 'Hammer'

A youngster of just 21 years of age delighted the Mestalla stands not so long ago. A certain Carlos Soler, who made his definitive leap to the ‘Che’ first team in the 2017-18 season and very quickly won the hearts of the fans.

After 226 games and 36 goals, the midfielder made his big leap to a European giant after signing for PSG. But not before being called up by the Spanish national team, with whom he played up to 14 matches and the last World Cup of Qatar 2022 (this already with the Parisian jersey), where he was one of the negative protagonists after missing a penalty in the penalty shoot out loss to Morocco.

Carlos Soler arrived at the Parc des Princes as a great promise. However, things didn't work out for the ‘Ches’ youth player. He never managed to establish himself as a regular starter and his figures were not very satisfactory: in 2 seasons and 63 games played (only 32 starts), he only scored 8 goals and distributed 7 assists.

At 27 years of age and with a contract until 2027 with PSG, the Spaniard wanted to try his luck and make up for lost minutes with a loan move to the Premier League. He arrived at Julen Lopetegui's West Ham with a lot of enthusiasm and a desire to show the quality he possesses in a league that had always attracted him.

However, he never closes the door on a possible return to Valencia. This is what he said in an interview a few months ago for ‘Marca’: "I will never close the door because I consider myself Valencian and Valencianista. I love Valencia and I usually spend my days off here. You never know the twists and turns that football can take. But of course I would like to return at some point".

However, Carlos Soler has not found the solution in his arrival in the English competition. He has barely been involved, with a meagre 340 minutes played and only two starts to his name. Although the whole season is still ahead of him, the Valencian midfielder is still in a desert that seems to have no end.
