Barcelona are preparing for a massive summer clearout with 3 high profile players, Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti and Ivan Rakitic all seemingly on their way out, as well as currently loaned out players, Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez.
The Spanish clubs are looking to generate at least £250m in order to sign the players on their wishlist, which is believed to contain de Ligt, Jovic and Griezmann, whilst they have already sealed the acquisition of midfielder Frenkie de Jong for £75m. According to 'ESPN', the Spanish League leaders are ready to back Valverde in the transfer market by generating funds.
It is claimed that £85m will be enough to secure the services of Philippe Coutinho, as the Catalan club look to cut their losses following the Brazilian's £145m arrival just last January. He has failed to do what the Spanish giants intended, replace Andres Iniesta, and he is now second choice both in the midfield and at Left Wing.
The Brazilian is known to have several admirers in the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester United the most likely destination for the former Liverpool and Inter man.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also reportedly keen on bringing in Samuel Umtiti, who has fallen down the Barça pecking order after an injury plagued season and some poor performances. The Frenchman's market value is believed to be around £70 million.
Ivan Rakitic is the third big name player who could be on his way out of the club. PSG came knocking for the Croatian last summer with a £68m offer, which Barça rejected, although it is thought that a similar offer would allow them to part with the Croatian, as negotiations are yet to begin with Rakitic over a new contract.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all thought to be keen on the Croatian, whilst PSG will almost definitely come knocking again.
The Spanish giants are thought to be keen on selling a number of players who are either out on loan or simply are not hugely important to Valverde's plans. Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez, who are on loan at Everton and Arsenal, are both likely to be on the way out of the Spanish club on a permanent basis this summer.
Tottenham target Malcom may also depart after just 1 season in Spain. Midfielder Rafinha and goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen are other bit-part players who may be sold as Barça look to top last years sales of over £100m.
