Porto coach: Casillas to be dropped again

Porto coach Jose Peseiro has revealed that Iker Casillas will sit out Porto's next match against Academia.

The 34-year-old left Real Madrid last summer for Estadio Dragao seeking assurances of first-team football after the Spanish capital rotated him in and out of the side.

However, Casillas irregular performances have contributed to Benfica's 12-point lead over Porto in the title race, encouraging the club to rely on Helton. 

Peseiro told reporters, "In order to prevent speculation, we can announce that Helton will be the goalkeeper in the next league game,

"He will alternate with Casillas until the end of the season because he needs minutes ahead of the final of the Portuguese Cup, as he is our tournament goalkeeper."
