Porro criticised for his Spurs debut: "He's been destroyed on his wing"

Tottenham suffered a major setback against Leicester. Antonio Conte's side saw the scoreboard turned on its head despite taking an early lead.

It was not the dream debut for Pedro Porro, who played all 90 minutes, but was largely unnoticed. However, criticism began to emerge regarding the Spanish full-back.

These came from former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood: "I don't want to be mean to Pedro Porro. It's his debut, but he's so bad... it's unbelievable. His positioning is unacceptable. He's been destroyed on his flank.

"Tottenham have spent so much money on reinforcements.... As far as I can see, they don't want to defend. Conte said they had to improve in defence and Porro reveals difficulties defending. I am very disappointed," he concluded.
