Of late, Pogba has been playing alongside Nemanja Matic in one of the two deeper midfield roles in a 4-2-3-1 system.
However, the 24-year-old has failed to live up to his price tag, having been hauled off in the recent defeats to Tottenham and Newcastle.
United's lack of defensive solidity in those games has been attributed to Pogba's lack of defensive disclipline, woth Graeme Souness going as far as to liken the Manchester United man to a schoolboy.
According to French publication 'L'Equipe', Pogba's struggles of late have led him to ask manager Jose Mourinho for a new role in the side, namely his favourite position on the left-hand side of a midfield three in a 4-3-3.
However, such a change in system would force Mourinho to drop one of his more attacking payers, of which he has an abundance following the Janaury signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
The likes of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial have been in good form of late meaning that being dropped form the side completely would be somewhat harsh, whilst Romelu Lukaku and Sanchez are two of the first names on the teamsheet. And that's without even mentioning Juan Mata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford.
Should United change their system to accomodate Pogba? Or should he be forced to adapt his game for the good of the team?
