After reaching the Champions League final last season, Tottenham will want to maintain their place among Europe's elite during the upcoming campaign. Manager Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt also want to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
What the Argentine still doesn't know, however, is whether or not he'll be able to count on Eriksen next season. The Danish international has been key in his project at Tottenham, but has announced his intention to leave the club this summer and is especially keen on a move to Real Madrid - something that doesn't look too likely at this moment in time.
Asked whether or not Eriksen would stay whilst at the British Grand Prix, Pochettino said: "I hope he is. I think he is a great player, Christian. One of the biggest talents in football".
Recent reports have even suggested that Spurs have offered the player to Madrid, but that those at the Bernabéu currently prefer a move for Paul Pogba.
"But you know, there is a lot of interest. I hope yes, but I don't know what is going to happen with that", the Argentine finished by saying.
