Mauricio Pochettino is planning a major overhaul at Tottenham this season as Spurs look to compete with the other members of the 'Big 6' by spending big themselves. Spurs made £113m of profit last season despite the build of their impressive £1bn stadium. But Pochettino wants more than that to spend this summer as Spurs have not spent any money since the January transfer window of 2018.
'The Evening Standard' has said that Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier will both be made available. Trippier is subject to interest from Everton and is believed to be worth around £35m, with Aurier valued at £20m. Trippier had a top World Cup with England over the summer, but has struggled to deliver this season. Pochettino has Aaron Wan-Bissaka in his sights, with Palace valuing him at £50m.
Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen, Fernando Llorente and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou are all likely to be sold as Pochettino looks to significantly improve his squad. Whilst Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko could also leave if Spurs receive the right offer.
Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld would be allowed to depart if the interest is there, with Pochettino looking to strenghten in all areas of the field.
Christian Eriksen is the star name on this list who could leave, as he enters the final year of his contract in North London. They have failed to negotiate a new contract and with Real Madrid circling above, they may decide to cash in on the Dane. Real would be willing to spend around a hundred million on the playmaker, freeing up plenty of money for Spurs' transfer targets. Jan Vertonghen also enters the final year of his contract and so it may be a decision to cash in on the Belgian.
