Player insulted for being gay and team walks off

There are moments in football that will never be forgotten, like what happened in the San Diego Loyal v Phoenix Rising match. Collin Martin was insulted and the team acted immediately.

The player, who admitted two years ago that he was gay, had to put up with what the Jamaican Junior Flemmings allegedly told him. "Batty Boy", a term in his country that is used to refer to a gay person.

An action that took place after his red card, which on top of that was wrong. Landon Donovan, the San Diego Loyal manager, went to ask the referee for explanations and he also saw red.

The ex-player explained what had happened to his pupil and the referee did not come to reason. After various discussions, the hosts kneeled on the grass and walked off the park in support of their teammate.
