Switzerland narrowly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup by losing 1-0 to Sweden in their last-16 clash on Tuesday.
Before the game, Neville was highly critical of the Stoke winger Shaqiri, despite him being the player that scored the goal to put his side through to the last-16 in their final match against Serbia.
"I am not a fan of Shaqiri. I think he was a disgrace for Stoke so I’m not a fan of him.
"last season his attitude was terrible at times."
The former Man Utd man, who is working as a pundit in Russia, told the 'BBC' that he thought that Arsenal midfielder Xhaka had put in a 'disgraceful' performance in the match, especially in the build up to Emil Fosberg's deflected shot that was the difference between the two teams.
"He cost his team the goal, because Forsberg comes inside and he just literally lets him waltz across him. Does nothing. He's a holding midfield player. He's fake.
"I just think we see this week in, week out... I think I see this for Arsenal week in, week out. For me he's just not my type of player." Neville complained.
Switzerland will now head home from the tournament, while Sweden will play either Colombia or England in their quarter-final tie.
